The types of documents that can be used with CloudSign are not limited to contracts stamped by both parties, but also include documents such as order forms and acknowledgements that are issued unilaterally by one party to another, as well as delivery statements, acceptance inspection forms, invoices, receipts, and other documents used in a wide range of transactions.

Regarding legal consequences of contracts issued unilaterally by one party to another

In principle, simply issuing or sending documents such as order forms or purchase orders does not result in finalization of the contract; the contract is finalized by issuing or sending an acknowledgment of order or confirmation of order.

When concluding an agreement using CloudSign, the parties involved exchange draft versions of the documents before compiling the terms agreed upon an “Order Form and Confirmation of Order” or similar document. The sender then uses CloudSign to send the document and request the recipient to consent to the terms, and the contract is finalized with both parties recorded as confirming and agreeing to the contract terms.
