When uploading documents, the “A PDF file that cannot be signed has been uploaded. Check that there are no problems with the file and that it is not protected with security settings ” error may be displayed and the document cannot be uploaded.

Cause

The error may be caused by one of the following.

  1. Signatures may be prohibited due to PDF file settings

  2. The PDF file may be encrypted

  3. The PDF file may be protected with a password

Solution

Check the settings of the PDF file, and change them as necessary if the above applies.

CloudSign ensures the credibility of PDF files by applying electronic signatures. The error above will occur if settings are such that signatures are prohibited.
