If a sent email is not delivered properly and a notification email from the recipient’s email server is received, CloudSign will send you a return email notifying of the sending failure. The reason why the sending failed is included at the bottom of the return email.
There are two main cases for receiving a return email.
1. Messages when the reason is outlined clearly
This email address does not exist, so your email could not be delivered.
Please check again to make sure there are no errors with the email address.
There was a temporary problem with the {{recipient email address}}, and your email was not delivered properly.
Your email may be returned depending on their out of office settings.
The mailbox of the {{recipient email address}} is almost full, and your email was not delivered properly.
Your email may be delivered properly if you try to send it again after a while.
The size of your email exceeds the recipient’s size limit, and your email was not delivered properly.
The content of your email was rejected by {{recipient email address}}, and your email was not delivered properly.
The attached file was rejected by {{recipient email address}}, and your email was not delivered properly.
When the reason is outlined clearly, notify the recipient of the cause and ask them to change their settings as necessary.

After the recipient has successfully updated their settings, please send a reminder and check if the recipient can receive your email properly.
If your email is still not delivered even after completing the steps above, we are unable to identify the cause. Please ask the recipient to arrange a different email address.
2. Messages when the reason is not outlined clearly
The cause of the return email is unknown.
Possible causes include incorrect email addresses, email server that is overloaded or exceeds capacity, or {{recipient email address}} set to reject incoming email.
If {{recipient name}}’s settings reject incoming emails, please ask them to allow emails from the amazonses.com domain.
Your email may be returned depending on their out of office settings.
No information is available, so this is a typical example of a notification from the email server.
Due to an unknown reason, your email could not be delivered to this email address.
Please try again with a different email address.
The reason is unknown but it is certain that the mail cannot be delivered to the specified email address so the message above is notified.
The following are possible reasons for receiving a notification from the recipient’s email server only outlining that “email could not be delivered due to an unknown reason.”
The email address does not exist
・ Please check to make sure there are no errors with the email address.
・ Please check again that the email can still be used for communication
The email cannot be received because the email server is overloaded or exceeds capacity
・ Please ask the recipient to check the status of the email server.
The email cannot be received due to the recipient’s email application settings
・ In addition to the following settings, please ask the recipient to allow emails from the “amazonses.com” domain.
I cannot receive emails (emails not via mobile network carriers)
I cannot receive emails (cell phone email)
After the recipient has successfully updated their settings, please send a reminder and check if the recipient can receive your email properly.
If your email is still not delivered even after completing the steps above, we are unable to identify the cause. Please ask the recipient to arrange a different email address.
